Weaving, Wedding and wondering

Happy New Year! It's been a while since I posted, but what with wedding preparations now in full swing, my weaving demonstration at The Minories gallery just before Christmas, and a lot of thinking time in between...I thought it was about time I gave you all a quick update of life in the Jaymini Bedia bubble!

I think Crazy is the word that sums up life at the moment. Crazy in all its' meanings. There is a LOT I have to look forward to this year...and there is also a lot to do to get there!

So things may appear slow on the textiles front at the moment, but there is/has been a lot of exciting stuff going on under the surface... Towards the end of last year I was approached by Keka, a San Francisco based company who provide cases for iPhones/Kindles/Samsung Galaxy's etc. They have hundreds of designers on-board to create an endless choice of case designs - there really is something for everyone! I was excited to license my designs for the first time, and am thrilled with how they look. If you're looking for a designer case to protect your phone or iPad, or as a gift for someone else - then look no further! And Keka regularly have great discounts, which is perfect :D

I have been weaving again - thanks to The Minories Gallery, who invited me to hold a weaving demonstration in their shop just before Christmas. What a fantastic day! It was lovely to be out of the studio and around great people and great work. I wish I could be there every day! The weaves I am working on are set to be cushion covers...so be sure to come back in a couple of weeks to see what they look like...I've already made a couple of my woven fabrics into cushion covers and they look fab! And very comfy too :)

So what else is on the cards for 2014? Well, I don't want to give too much away (suspense is always fun) but I think it's safe to say expect collections, collaborations and a lot of creativity... ;)

Take care, 'til next time!
