...and what a summer it is! After the cold, wet misery of last month, July has come blazing in - literally! So half of this month has already disappeared. It really has been an Indian summer - we have had engagements, weddings and receptions at the weekends; and I love getting dressed up in my sari's, but it was just so hot! Following my talk at the SV150 Hindu exhibition opening, I had a meeting at the local Mercury Theatre to discuss further projects and events they could hold, to involve more people from the Indian community. It was great to be asked my opinions - and I am very excited about the possibility of doing some dance workshops and performances at the theatre! Textiles-wise I am now exhibiting at the Mercury Theatre from 11th November - 2nd December :D the last week has been spent preparing for Makers at the Mill 2013, which opens tonight! There are a group of 10 artists from all different fields (fine art, sculpture, jewellery, printmaking, textiles) exhibiting, so it promises to be a great show - and the House Mill Gallery is simply amazing! And on the wedding-front...well it's nearly one year to go :O had my second dress fitting yesterday (eeek!) it is coming along veryyyy nicely :D now I need to start designing my wedding sari. Planning for the wedding events and reception is underway - lots of exciting ideas!
Anyways, it's time to sign off for today - heading to London to confirm reception venue and then getting ready to party at the Makers at the Mill Private View :D
